Philip is a senior research consultant who works as a trusted adviser to organisations navigating complex reputational, regulatory and stakeholder environments. With a background in public policy and corporate affairs, he has advised some of Australia’s most preeminent organisations across energy, infrastructure, finance, technology, tourism and social services.
Philip partners closely with clients to design and deliver research that supports high‑stakes decision‑making. His work helps organisations understand community sentiment, manage social licence, engage effectively with stakeholders, and respond to sensitive or contested issues, including those involving vulnerable audiences. He is known for quickly immersing himself in clients’ operating contexts and translating complex evidence into clear, practical insight that informs strategy and action.
Prior to joining SEC Newgate Australia, Philip was a senior account manager at Repucom (now Nielsen Sports), a global sport, entertainment and sponsorship consultancy. Before this, he was the research and policy manager at the national peak body Tourism & Transport Forum.
Philip is a full member of the Australian Research Society and holds a Master of Policy Studies in visitor economy research and a Bachelor of Commerce in services marketing and political economy, both from the University of New South Wales.
